The City of God (July 24/22)

In Revelation 21, we are invited into a vision of the end of things, described this way: I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It’s interesting to contemplate that when sin and death are finally no more — when we are finally with Jesus — it will be in a city. What does it mean for those of us currently living in the city of Toronto, that the Christian vision of the last times is urban — of a redeemed city with God in her midst? What does that mean for the way we live our urban lives?
