God's Kingdom: Now & Not Yet (June 14-Aug. 30/20)
In Christianity we talk of the now-ness of God’s kingdom. We remember that Jesus’ gospel (His good news) was that God’s kingdom has come near. We also talk about the not-yet-ness of God’s kingdom, acknowledging that it is something yet to be realized in full. As Christians, we live in the tension of those equally true realities. As the Church, we are called to simultaneously proclaim the truth of the first and work with God to overcome the second. Over the course of this series of sermons we will be reminded of the nature and character of God’s kingdom, challenged to celebrate where we see it present now, and to join God in His work where it is not yet present.
