Rev. Elaine Poproski
Lead Pastor
Elaine became our Lead Pastor in 2016. She was ordained with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec (CBOQ) in 2000 after having graduated from McMaster Divinity College with her M.Div. degree in 1998.
She grew up in Waterloo and spent the first 17 years of her pastoral calling in Simcoe, Ontario. Elaine loves living in Toronto. She especially loves the vibrant diversity of the city and the opportunities that diversity affords to widen perspective and better understand the extraordinary creativity of God. It is her dream that Walmer be the kind of people who genuinely reflect the truth that through Jesus all the dividing walls between human beings have been broken down.

Debie Mealey
Director of Administration
Debie Mealey serves as the Director of Administration at Walmer and has overseen the community’s communications, human resources, property management, and finances since 2012. Over the last decade she has been motivated by the big and small ways she has seen people move along their Jesus-journey. She is passionate about making everyone feel welcome at Walmer, no matter the day or circumstance.
Despite her roots in the Maritime provinces, Debie is now a proud Torontonian. She and her husband, Scott, live in the downtown core along with their two sons who are in and out of their apartment as they pursue post-secondary education.
