Picture of the book cover. On Tuesdays over Zoom we are reading and discussing the book, Healing our Broken Humanity, by Grace Ji-Sun Kim and Graham Hill. If you would like to participate, please email our pastor and she will get you a copy of the book as well as information so you can join Zoom.

In preparation for this week’s discussion, please review Chapter 3 (pages 56-72) and consider these questions from the top of p. 71:

How have my attitudes and practices disadvantaged others? (The authors provide a number of ‘others’ to choose between, but feel free to identify your own ‘other’ as you consider this question.)

How have my choices, preferences, and attitudes silenced and marginalized these others?

How do my political decisions compound the problem?

Given the above, how do I repent and embrace the mind of Christ?

From the back cover:

Our broken world needs healing and hope, and Jesus calls us to be a peace-making and reconciling people. But how? Grace Ji-Sun Kim and Graham Hill offer Christian practices that can transform society, from lament and repentance to relinquishing power, reinforcing agency, and more. Embodying these practices enables us to be the new humanity in Jesus Christ, so the church and world can experience reconciliation, justice, peace, and love.
