In November 2018, the Walmer Road Food Bank, which had been a ministry of Walmer for decades, was passed to the Church of the Messiah and became the Avenue Road Food Bank. The Food Bank serves those that are experiencing food insecurity in the area.
Matthew House is a community of four homes across the city of Toronto. One is a reception house, and the other three offer longer term transitional housing for refugee claimants. Toronto Baptist Ministries (TBM) is a voluntary association of Canadian Baptist Churches in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). TBM exists to encourage, strengthen, and equip member churches and ministry leaders to work together to extend the mission of Christ into their wider community.
(CBOQ) supports local Canadian Baptist churches and their communities in Ontario and Quebec by training leaders, supporting innovative ministries, responding compassionately to social needs, responding to crises, and providing churches with administrative and financial services. In partnership with our churches, CBOQ also plays a collaborative role in seeding new expressions of church for today.
